Three measurements with a soft tape: chest girth around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs; neck girth where a collar sits; back length from the base of the neck to the base of the tail. Every sized product has its own chart on its page, and the fit guides show each measurement with a drawing.

Go up one. The knits stretch, but the jacket, the vest, the trench and the harness do not, and a size that is a little roomy is more comfortable than one that pinches.

The chart on its page is the maker's, in centimetres, and its size names (S to 5XL) are not the names of the sizes sold here (XS to XL). Email your dog's chest measurement to hello@tiltandtail.com before ordering and we will match it.

Email hello@tiltandtail.com with your order number. The simplest route is a return for a full refund within 60 days of delivery and a new order in the right size, so the right one is on its way at once.

Within the United States only, and shipping is free on every order.

Orders are processed in 1 to 2 business days and usually arrive within 4 to 9 business days after that. Each product page shows today's estimated delivery dates under the Add to bag button.

You get a tracking link by email as soon as your order ships. Items in the same order may ship separately and arrive on different days; each parcel has its own tracking.

If your dog is not better off within 60 days of delivery, you can return your order for a full refund of the purchase price. Items should be sent back in reasonable condition.

Personalised and custom-name items are made for your dog, so they are final sale unless they arrive damaged or incorrect. If we get the name wrong, we replace it free.

If they weigh up to about 30 lb, yes. It is made for the low riders and the flat faces: dachshunds, corgis, shih tzus, Frenchies, and older dogs of a similar size. Three sizes, measured across the top: Small 4.3 in, Medium 5.5 in, Large 6.9 in.

No. It is a comfier way to eat dinner. If your dog has a diagnosed neck, spine or swallowing condition, ask your vet about the right feeding height.

It comes apart into three pieces. Rinse weekly, put the stainless steel bowl in the dishwasher, and swap the filter every two weeks. It runs on a built-in rechargeable battery, so there is no cord to work around.

For everyday walks with a dog that walks nicely, yes: the leash clips to the ring on the back and the pull sits on the chest, not the neck. For a strong puller, use your regular harness under the jacket.

Jacket, vest and trench: wipe clean or hand wash cold, hang to dry. Knits: hand wash cold, lay flat to dry. Leash and collar sets: wipe with a damp cloth. The Cloud Nest: wipe dust and fur away with a damp cloth. The Sip & Stroll: hand wash.

The real-wood frame is rated for dogs up to 110 lb, and the steps fold into a ramp. Set up it is 19.5 in tall, best for couches and beds up to about 20 in high, so measure yours first. Some dogs need a few days and a few treats to trust new stairs.
